1. Boil lentils in a pot until soft and remove from the stove and drain
  2. Boil rice until soft and drain
  3. Peel and cut potatoes into squares, put in a pot and boil, drain once soft
  4. In a separate pan, add oil, onions, garlic, ginger and fry till soft.
  5. Add tomatoes and chutney to your onion mix
  6. Add your chunks of pilchards to your pan and mix all together, cook on medium heat
  7. Add salt and pepper to taste
  8. Add potatoes and lentils and mix all together
  9. Add steamed rice to your dish and mix well, let it cook on low heat
  10. Chop coriander and sprinkle over the dish and mix
  11. Slice hard boiled eggs in half and garish the Breyani with it
  12. Remove from heat and serve with Poppadums or tomato and onion salsa
